About Ferne
Biography
Ferne is widely known and respected by employment lawyers, practicing in both Missouri and Illinois. In 2010, she was selected to be a Fellow in The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. In addition to representing her clients in trial courts, Ferne has argued cases before the Courts of Appeal and Supreme Courts in both Missouri and Illinois. She has testified before the Missouri legislature on pending employment legislation and provided input into amendments of the Illinois Human Rights Act. She has chaired both the Missouri Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Committee and the Illinois State Bar Association Labor and Employment Section Council. She presently serves on the Board of the Illinois Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.
Ferne has practiced employment law for more than forty years with both the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in private practice. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Attorney Disciplinary Committee, Region X. Ferne is active in the running community, having completed two marathons. She enjoys spending time with her family and Goldendoodle.
