Dennis did a great job in getting my patent off the ground and fully approved. He knew absolutely nothing about my product when we started, but it didn't take him long to have a complete understanding and to be able to prepare my case for the examiners. I'm not funded like the Boeings and Monsantos... of the world, and it was quite unusual to find that Dennis caters so well to small businesses. Knowing what I do now, I think it is remarkable that I was able to go through the entire patent process so affordably. If I went to the large firms, hourly rates just would not have been feasible. Not only does Dennis offer a flat rate fee structure, he even offers no-cost sessions occasionally for clients so you can bounce ideas off him. I plan to take advantage of this service soon. While I'm sure he can handle big firms quite well, my review has to do with how he handled my case. Just couldn't be happier.

Before working with Dennis, we worked with a couple of other attorneys to process our patent without much success. Dennis and I have worked on multiple patent applications over the past few years. From our earliest days, he dug into our subject matter (an area he'd not worked in the past) and understood our invention well enough to recommend a wise strategy, to wait. With the Alice decision turning the software p...atent world on its head, Dennis advised a clever approach to both hold our invention's place in line but maximize our wait time until the waters became less murky. Once that took place, we were then able to move very quickly by filing a continuation application through the PTO's Track One program and its pilot First Action Interview. Dennis handled our interview with the examiner in an impressive manner, pushing where necessary to quell the examiner's objections. Shortly thereafter, we were granted our patent in an unexpectedly fast timeframe thanks to this maneuvering. The outcome would not have been possible without Dennis' guidance and counsel. I would not hesitate to recommend his IP practice to anyone.
