Stuart L. O'Brien

My family and I hired Stuart O'Brien as our probate attorney for my sister's estate in Missouri. Because our family lived out of state we dealt with all of the correspondence either on the phone or e-mail. I was the Personal Representative and had never been through this process before. Stuart to...ok the time and patiently explained the process as each step came up. Every question I had was answered throughly until I understood. Stuart was excellent at returning phone calls, and often I was the one returning his phone calls checking to make sure I had completed the task before the deadlines came up. I learned so much and enjoyed every conversation we had. He has an incredible sense of humor and knows when to implement it even in the trying times we shared together. He went the extra mile and would drive through my sister's neighborhood and let me know if her house was ok since it sat vacant for awhile. The entire process took two and a half years to complete and I enjoyed many conversations regarding my sister's probate peppered with what was going on in each of our communities. We have since finished up the probate and I can't believe how much I have learned and how much better off I am now that I know how to set things up for my family in case of the inevitable. Better to be prepared than unaware. Thank you, Stuart, for educating me on all the legal aspects of planning for the future and all of the laughs from your hilarious one liners!!!

I have dealt with many attorneys before and I really can't say enough nice things about Stuart O'Brien. I can honestly say that Stuart O'Brien is one of the best. I found him on line through this site and immediately was impressed with his straightforwardness and honesty. He answered so many qu...estions that had previously gone unanswered (for months) by the attorney my brother obtained. I had spoken with another attorney in St. Louis about my situation who immediately wanted money upfront before answering any questions but he did inform me it would be a long battle with this attorney my brother obtained. On the other hand, Mr. O'Brien had been so informative and had never even mentioned money. We began working together in January 2013, the other attorney resigned and I was finally made Administrator of the Estate late August 2013; a year after my uncle's passing. It had been somewhat of a battle with my brother but Mr. O'Brien was always professional and diplomatic and he made it happen that I be made Administrator of the Estate and unsupervised by the court. Things have progressed better than I ever anticipated. Mr. O'Brien is very knowledgable, well organized, detail oriented and has been available to answer every question I might possibly have. He is always assessable by phone or email. He has a great network of people and he has proven to be a great detective tracking down heirs. In less than 2 months Mr. O'Brien has tackled every issue in and out state for me. It's not often I have the pleasure to do business with such an upstanding professional such as Stuart O'Brien. His quick wit and sense of humor are an added bonus. I would call this attorney no matter what the legal issue knowing his advice whatever it may be, would be the best.
