Estate Planning 35%

Each individual has the ability to say how their own estate (property/assets) will be handled both before and after their death. To do this, we use documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Directives, etc.

Probate 35%

Probate (or Probate Administration) is the process of validating a Last Will and Testament. The process involves filing documents in the Probate Court to make sure the decedent's wishes are followed.

Trusts 30%

Trust Administation means performing the duties listed in a valid Trust. In the case of a trust like a Revocable Living Trust (the most popular type) this means helping the Grantors carry out the instructions in their Trust.

Outstanding Lawyer

I have been working with Mr. Chartrand managing the Family Trust. He is extremely professional and makes complex legal issues understandable. Mr. Chartrand is open with communications and is prompt with returning calls. I feel he treats me like I am his only client.

I highly recommend Daniel Chartrand.

I have had reason to retain the legal services of Attorney Daniel B. Chartrand several times in the past thirty years. I have found Attorney Chartrand to be very professional and adept in his ability to maneuver in the many situations that arise in the legal system. Attorney Chartrand brings with h...im many years of experience and insights that enhance his representation in court, legal advice and other insights that I appreciated; and that, I am very thankful for. Attorney Daniel Chartrand is one those very rare persons that think of others, instead of himself. With that said; Attorney Daniel Chartrand is an excellent attorney and a very fine person.

Best Attorney in St. Louis

Dan Chartrand has been our attorney for about 25 years. He always has our best interest at heart. He is honest, and a person of integrity who won't make promises he can't keep. He will work in your best interest at all times without fail; he is your advocate. I have always been able to rely on Mr. Ch...artrand for a variety of legal issues, including estate planning. He is the only attorney I have ever met that I trust completely. I recommend Mr. Dan Chartrand for any legal advice, family law or estate planning.

He is one of the best lawyers in St. Louis!

Dan Chartrand is one of the best lawyers in St. Louis! He is personable, smart, knowledgeable, trustworthy and savy. We have been going to him for years. I'm still trying to get a copy of my trust; response has been slow and communication seems to have broken down. But, I'll keep contacting his offic...e. He is simply the best.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
