Shira Truitt

This lady held a meeting at my church this Saturday, she was very, very disrespectful, telling us the members to shut up, said she was going to sue the church, if we didn’t pay her. First of all the church never hired her, was not voted on to hire her. The pastor took upon hisself to hire her, which ...he should be responsible for her payment. I understand lawyers are tough, but there is a difference between tough and being downright disrespectful. She also stated that we are not a congregational church, which is not true, since we are not a congregational church per her statement that means the Pastor is null and void, because the congregation voted.. She also brought up The Union in the church business, and the church is not union, what happen to the statement of separation between State and Church. She will not ever be recommended as a lawyer.

Shira Truitt was exceptional, and I would recommend her to everyone! She explained everything fully up front, was easy to email any questions, prompt with returning phone calls or information regarding my case, qualified in both Illinois and Missouri, and her demeanor was perfect for my case, a great... balance of professionalism, understanding, and she definitely wasn’t like my last attorney I had to let go. I have hired Ms. Truitt to handle a bogus traffic ticket. She was clear as to the options and swiftly handled the matter. She is superb! I could not have been happier in choosing Ms.Truitt as my lawyer in dealing with an awful situation with my ex business partner. Very responsive and knowledgeable. She gave me great advice and was honest with me on the possible outcome good or bad, based upon some bad decisions that I made in goin...g into that partnership. The original custody plan I had in place for my daughter was every Tuesday and 1 day every other weekend and in my opinion that needed to change. It was October of 2011 when I first met Shira to talk about representing me in trying to change that plan to something, at the very least, fair. She was w...illing to take on my case and went to work right away on it. It was a long 2 year process but she was there every step of the way. She spent countless hours working with me either at her office or on the phone to make sure she had all the eggs in her basket. With what seemed like 100 different court dates in the 2 year span she was there early each and every time. Public speaking was never a strong point of mine so Shira made the time to prepare me for all the court dates. I had to admire her knowledge and confidence in herself when we were faced with different changes. We were assigned 3 different judges and the opposing party changed attorneys at least 5 times, which at one point she had 3 attorneys at once!! That didn't bother Shira one bit she did what she had to do while making sure I did everything I was supposed to (filling forms, meeting with GAL, etc.). After numerous court dates and late nights Ms. Shira Truitt was able to get the job done. My new custody plan is 50/50 physical and sole legal custody for important decisions and 50/50 for all other decisions. She even got my child support to go from $433/mo to $0/mo. There's many other details that I won't get into but bottom line is she really did a good job and I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for an attorney with the knowledge, dedication, commitment and guts it takes to get the job done.
