Don’t Bother
Unprofessional and gave incorrect advice that permanently affected my ability to be hired by future employers. I wouldn’t recommend her at all, unless you actually want that person to be adversely impacted.

utterly disappointed
I am very disappointed. After having to chase down their law firm while awaiting answers, when all was said and done, we were charged EXTRA, for funds they claimed they covered. Very unprofessional woman and I would never tell anyone to use her ever again.

Replied last September 26, 2020I believe you are confusing me with another attorney. I am a solo-practioner with no staff. Therefore, your use of the words “their law firm” and “they” suggest you have me confused with a different Katherine Hummel. Additionally, in reference to your comment about being charged extra for funds for something your attorney claimed was already covered, it sounds like you’re talking about a civil case. I practice criminal defense and I charge my clients on a flat-fee basis. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with an attorney. I understand how frustrating and stressful that must have been for you. However, I do truly believe you are confusing me with someone else.

When I first hired her she did great, very attentive and responsive on the first case but then later on other charges she avoided calls never returned them or any of my text. When I did talk to her by calling her from a number she didn't know I got a lot of excuses. She starts of good but as far as m...

Replied last September 26, 2020While I continue to be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Illinois Bar, I haven’t taken a criminal case in Illinois since 2017. Your post/review is dated February 11, 2020. So unless you waited 3 years to write a review completely out-of-blue, you are not an actual client (current or former) of mine.
