Jeff began his career as a public defender in both Pike County, Missouri and later in St. Louis County.  During that time he conducted numerous jury trials, often acquitting his clients.  He entered private practice in 1999 and continued honing his jury trial skills.  In 2001, he was named as a lead attorney to the United States District Court's (Eastern District of Missouri) Criminal Justice Act panel.  In addition to being retained to represent individuals in both the state and federal courts, Jeff is regularly appointed by Federal Magistrate judges to represent indigent clients, often handling complex wiretap and drug conspiracy cases.

Incredible lawyer
To say Jeff is a great lawyer would be an understatement. The first thing he did was give me his cell number if I were to need him. That was not just for show, he always answered my calls and texts right away. He was hired on an old case and and did more for me than anyone else had. He was always honest about the "what ifs," but because of the lawyer he is, none of those possibilities came to be. He fought tooth and nail and because of him I am no longer dealing with this case and am free of probation, all of it. If I had a different lawyer I know my case wouldn't have ended this quickly or this smoothly. 10 out 10 would recommend!

Best Criminal Lawyer
Jeff is awesome. I couldn’t have done it without him. Very thorough at what he does and never missed a beat. Hopefully I never need him again but if so I would hire him as my lawyer in a heartbeat. Wish I could use him for other legal issues as well.

Finally a Trial Lawyer
Not my first rodeo. Hired Jeff because a friend said he was good. The deal they offered me was terrible so Jeff got ready for trial. Day of trial Jeff was ready to go. Prosecutor wasn't. Long story short my felony charge was dropped. All because Jeff isn't afraid to go to trial and knows how to win.

Best criminal lawyer in St. Louis
Who gives clients a cell phone number? Seriously? Who answers it at midnight when I call freaked out about my case and what will happen to me? Jeff is the best. Always available to listen to me rant and to calm me down. Add to that the fact that he is one heck of a skilled criminal lawyer. My case ended exactly as he said it would when we first met. Thanks Jeff for always being there for me whenever I needed to talk. You are the best!

True lifesaver
I've been lucky to have Jeff on my side more than once. He has the knowledge and good judgement to turn bad days into good ones. If you are ever in a tough situation, my advice is to make this lawyer your first phone call.

Professional, Courteous, Responsive, Effective
When I neglected a traffic matter in North County, a relatively simple situation became a lot more difficult. Jeff saved me from my own stupidity with no ramifications. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any legal matter. He is an excellent communicator, a skillful attorney and most of all, he gets results. I rate him five stars in all areas.

Dependable, Knowledgeable, and Trustworthy
While some things in life are not pleasant, having the right attorney can make problems a lot more palatable. I knew that Jeff was an outstanding lawyer before I trusted my care to him, but after using his services professionally, I can honestly say that advice before my case was underway, during the legal phase, and even afterwards was 100% accurate. Most lawyers will tell you to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Jeff is very realistic about what you should expect. He knows his way around the Federal Courthouse, understands how the system works, and knows where he can and can't maneuver. If there is a problem that is presenting itself, he is very open and honest about what to expect. Even after my case was finished, I needed other legal advice. Jeff knew that what I was looking for wasn't his strongest suit, but he knew someone that was perfect for the job. His referral was not made out of personal gain to Jeff, it was made because it was the correct thing for his client. I would trust Jeff without any reservation and know that I was using one of the top lawyers in St. Louis.

Focused, intelligent and practical attorney
