Biography
Mr. Schaeffer focuses his practice on representing individuals and businesses in labor and employment law matters, in addition to handling workers’ compensation cases for injured workers and representing people who have been charged with crimes in state and federal court.
Prior to founding Schaeffer Law, Clay gained experience in multiple arenas. He represented indigent clients as a clinician in law school, interned with Missouri’s 45th Judicial Circuit, and clerked for local attorneys. Clay also spent three years at St. Louis Cold Drawn, Inc. (STLCD), which is the third largest domestic manufacturer of cold finished steel bars in North America. At STLCD, Clay served as the company’s General Counsel, Controller, and VP of Compliance. His experience in manufacturing gives him a unique perspective that makes him an excellent advocate for mistreated employees.
