Review of Aaron Hopkins

Mr. Hopkins was hired for a custody issue. He has went above and beyond to please us! Returns phone calls promptly and listens to his clients. Aaron takes pride in his work which benefits his clients! If I’m ever in need of a lawyer again, Mr. Hopkins will always get my money..........since I’m poor ..., that really means something!

An inconspicuous home-turned-office-building in Franklin County may very well be the mission control center for one of Illinois' most rapidly rising stars in litigation. There might be a moment when you turn your head and realize you just heard Hopkins quote a line from a classic work of literature, or maybe he'll offer up a juicy tid-bit of local history in the middle of a tough discussion in one of the waiting rooms at the courthouse. You'll find yourself feeling better about what you're facing because you'll know you're dealing with a litigator of profound intellect, someone that has paid attention to the world around him, but a man that also knows not to take himself too seriously. For better of for worse, Hopkins is honest, brutally so at times, even about his own struggles and past life experiences; as for my business partner and me, he has enabled us to see matters as they actually are, not the giants they sometimes appear to be, and, above all, he does this without ever stopping-- he's always doing his job, with the least amount of interference possible, and he is always, always, always thinking, navigating, and maneuvering towards a speedy conclusion to the imminent matter at hand. Hopkins is the real-deal, southern Illinois; the courtroom is not his stage and it's not an act; it is where he is getting stuff done. As his number of clients and his caseload continues to surge, our best decision of 2018 was making sure we got this closer on our side, while there was still enough of him to go around.

Best attorney around

I had some medical issues and was in a car accident due to that. He worked very hard on getting my medical records to who they needed to go to. Aaron and his staff were always very helpful when I had any questions. Very good person and attorney all around.

Don't Waste Your Time

Horrible attorney, a terrible waste of time and money. Refuses to call back when trying to get updates from him. I usually had to just show up unannounced at his office in order to get any information from him at all. Talks a good talk but doesn't come through on his promises.Very good at working at ...a snail's pace to rack up more charges and fees for himself. Might be better at high priced cases that make him bundles of cash, but for simpler reasons for needing at attorney, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

It's taken me some time to respond to this review. Mostly because I didn't know exactly what to say. Although this was posted by an "Anonymous" former client, I believe I know who left this review. I have the utmost sympathy for this particular former client. Her situation was a very difficult one, but sadly not unique. She was married to someone who she thought had a lot of resources, and it turned out that they did not. It can be extremely traumatizing and disappointing to find out someone you've been married to for so long was living a lie. As her lawyer I did the best I could for her. Contrary to what she indicates, I always returned her phone calls and even spoke to her after hours on numerous occasions, often late into the night. It is true that she did show up to my office unannounced. This happened quite often. But mostly because she needed reassurance that things were going to be okay. Clearly she walked away from our relationship feeling like I did her wrong. For that I am truly sorry. If given the opportunity I would love to speak with her again to see how she is doing and see if there's anything I can do for her.
