Possibly after a year. Check into Colorado and Alabama for two I can think of.

I clearly refused to answer questions until speaking with my lawyer and they still questioned me, and later arrested me.legal?

public defenders are lawyers.. Some of them have extensive trial experience but heavy case loads.

What's your rush? Nothing bad can happen to him if he is never convicted. Time is on a criminal defendant's time.
