In 2009, Meghan C. Kane, a Godfrey native, joined Unsell, Schattnik & Phillips as a law clerk while attending her first year of law school at Saint Louis University. During her time in law school, Mrs. Kane was selected as a member of the Saint Louis University National Moot Court Team, traveling to Kansas City, Missouri, and New York City to argue in front of multiple state Supreme Court and U.S. Appellate Court Judges. Mrs. Kane was a Moot Court Teaching Assistant as well as a part of the University’s Civil Litigation Clinic also while in law school. Mrs. Kane joined the firm as an associate after graduating law school in 2011. She has prosecuted claims for injured parties and defended individuals who have been sued. Mrs. Kane also handles traffic tickets and litigates contract disputes. She currently holds licenses in both Illinois and Missouri.
