I retained Kevin Sullivan expecting competent criminal defense. What I received instead was total non-performance. Over the course of my representation, no meaningful discovery review was done, no strategic analysis was provided, and no serious negotiation with the prosecution occurred. I personal...ly organized and presented the discovery in my case, which was largely disregarded. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that achieving a reasonable outcome was “impossible.” Shortly thereafter, Mr. Sullivan withdrew from my case. Here’s the part that matters most: new counsel achieved the exact outcome I was seeking in under one week—an outcome Mr. Sullivan insisted could not be done. That contrast speaks for itself. I’ll say this carefully but honestly: perhaps Kevin Sullivan was a strong attorney 10–15 years ago, but based on my experience, he appears mentally checked out, disengaged, and unwilling to put in the work required today. The level of advocacy I received felt perfunctory at best. To make matters worse, despite minimal substantive work, my retainer was not promptly refunded, requiring further follow-up on my end. This experience was costly—not just financially, but in time, stress, and unnecessary uncertainty. If you are looking for an attorney who will actively engage with your case, thoroughly review discovery, and fight for outcomes rather than managing expectations downward, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Kevin was on my side from day 1. He set my expectations whether it be winning or losing my case. He was supportive. Excellent communication till the end. Kevin Sullivan is a boss. He's very well respected by the judges and even by the police officers in Peoria and the surrounding counties. He got me acquitted of a possession charge and a paraphernalia charge without me even having to go to court. He also got my brother acquitted of a dui. And he has t...aken on some of my traffic cases for free no questions asked. I would highly recommend using him for any trouble you may get yourself into. And to anyone who complains about his prices just remember that you get what you pay for. He respects the fact that his clients pay him a decent amount of money and he works really hard on his cases.

This guy only has his mobile phone published because he travels so much. A real Monty Hall who will do the minimum amount of work possible to pocket the money and cut a deal. In our case he had out minor daughter plead guilty to something without the parents being present and misrepresented the imp...lications of the plea. Caused a huge problem.
