Highly recommend!

Mr. Borsberry successfully guided me through my divorce with a problem ex-husband that filed a lot of frivolous pleadings. He kept me calm and gave me great advice on how to proceed. He brought home a great outcome for me.

DCFS problems? Call JOE!

So I worked for a small rural school district in Illinois. A group of students were having sexually charged and clearly inappropriate conversations at school. I being an educator, had a duty to stop the conversations, and I did. Well that made the students mad, so they made up allegations and I wa...s initially investigated (and later cleared) under Title IX procedures. Well the Title IX progress wasn't enough for one of the parents, so they called DCFS and blew what was allegedly said way out of proportion and made it look like I was some sort of sick freak that you hear about on the news, or lets be honest, on facebook as I seem to get more news there than a news outlet. Well DCFS rightfully launched an investigation into the allegations, and despite conflicting stories, conflicting timelines, and changing stories, decided I was guilty. At one point they even threatened unless I agreed to a "safety" plan, that they would remove my children from the home for their own "safety". So I agreed. I was doe eyed, and trusted that the system wasn't broken and that my honest, and consistent telling of the events would clear my name with DCFS. Boy oh boy, was I wrong! So I appealed, lost, and then finally appealed to the ALJ for DCFS. This is when I decided I needed an attorney, as I realized facts where what DCFS decided they were. So I called Joe, he was easy to speak to, understood, and stated that he would take my case. Shortly after retaining Joe, I got to speak to Denise, one of his paralegals. She would become my life line. Joe and Denise never once seemed to judge, and seemed genuinely concerned that an injustice had been done. They wanted to make sure that justice was done. Denise kept me updated the whole way, and often Joe would have her do work, that he could have billed for, but to make this cost effective he had her do it. Which, hey, who doesn't want a break on a bill right? I haven't used a ton of lawyers in my day, but some you get the feeling they are all about the billable hours, and not the justice side of things. That is not the case here, from the first time I had my consultation, I could tell, that Joe cared about getting this wrong righted, and getting me a sense of my life back, though it'll never be whole again. As these types of allegations regardless of the outcome follow you. The level of thoroughness Joe and Denise put into this case, is one I would expect out of "the dream team" that represented the late O.J. Simpson. I honestly was overly impressed with how much had been done to prepare for the case. I can't speak highly enough of Joe, and his firm! If any of my family or friends need a good attorney that is going to treat them fairly, and fiscally responsibly, I am going to give them Joe's name, and number without any sort of reservation!

Great Person to represent you!

Joe and his staff are absolutely amazing. I went through a nightmare case and sadly hired him late in the game but he still put in all the effort he could to get me a good outcome even though he was late to the game. Can i also just point out that when i was crying and having a panic attack after one... of the hearings he calmed me down and let me cry on his shoulders! he didnt have to stay late he didn't have to talk through things and make me laugh but he did! He and his staff were always there to answer my questions and work with me even down to the bill. I will always go to him and recommend him in the future if i ever need help again! let's hope i don't but if i do its him ill choose. Thank you Joe for everything!

Third Custody Case

Since my divorce back in 2010 I’ve been in 3 custody battles with my daughters father, this last one I hired Joeseph Borsberry to take my case. It was a long process but not due to Mr Borsberry but due to my ex husband and his attorney. Mr Borsberry is located an hour away from the town we lived in, ...he did everything in his power to work with us to save money on traveling fees, we were able to do most of our meetings via phone, during this process we only had to go to the court house 2 times and kept most of it very civil. He and his staff kept me up to date regularly through email and phone calls it made it so much easier as I couldn’t drive due to a health condition. He and his staff were very courteous and were always prompt with answering any questions I had. During our depositions with my ex husband and his attorney, it was a pleasure to watch Mr Borsberry work, he was able to get information from my ex husband that no other attorney could in the past, he kept me up to date with the ever changing laws so I knew what was going on and where we stood. I highly recommend Mr Borsberry and his staff, as they were prompt, courteous and very friendly, in the end I’m very pleased with our outcome and has finally brought some peace to our lives. They never made me feel like I was a burden or a hassle they always made me feel like our case was a top priority!
