My experience with Eric was very good under the circumstances of getting a DUI. On my free consultation he sat with me for nearly three hours and explained everything that he would file and how each individual form might help my case. He even gave me recommendations on what I should do even if I di...dn't hire him. He was not a money hungry shark that one thinks of when they hear the term lawyer. He's a decent person who is well informed not only on the law, but also the individuals involved in the legal system. For those reasons, I decided to hire him. Even though it was clear that I had blown over the legal limit on the breathalyzer test, Eric did everything in his ability to plead me to a lower charge. After a couple visits to court, he was able to plead my DUI down to a Reckless Driving charge which I very much appreciated as I was able to keep my license. Although I have never hired another lawyer, I would say that one would be hard to find a better one. I had been through some bad personal issues and was driving home one night. I wasn't paying attention to the road and swerved a couple times. Every other lawyer I talked to told me that I drove poorly, failed the balance tests, and blew over the limit so I needed to accept that I was going to have to plead guilty and hopefully only be suspended a short time. Not Mr. Reyes. He told me from the beginning that he starts every case with the question "how can I beat this case?" Well, he sure answered that question! Now whenever someone asks me if I know of a good lawyer if they get in trouble, my answer is easy. Eric Reyes is the best DUI defense lawyer in the Quad Cities.
