Mary Allyson Misevich

I am so glad I hired Allyson. My divorce case had been in limbo for quite some time. When I hired Allyson to continue my case, she helped me with my goal of wanting it to come to an end. My ex's attorney was rather cut throat, and didn't seem to care about ethics. I really appreciated that Allyso...n upheld morals (that I came to know we shared) and kept it clean and respectful, yet got the job done. It seems to me, from what I have learned during this experience, that many attorney's love to see ex spouses fighting over everything, I think they encourage it because it prolongs the process and they get more money from our cases. Allyson, did not do this. She continually worked toward a fair settlement. She is very knowledgeable with her many years of experience behind her, and is able to foresee possible issues. She keeps up on all the latest changes too, which was very helpful for a favorable outcome in my settlement. Allyson and Lee work well together keeping an eye on details. On top of being so professional, she is very pleasant to talk with. She made time to hear more about what I was going through and showed compassion, which goes a long way during these difficult days. I could see that it was not about the money, but that she truly cared. She made a promise to me at our start, and followed through with it, even though I'm guessing it wasn't easy. She is a woman of her word. I am very grateful to Allyson, and am convinced that my outcome would have been much different without her. Thank you Allyson and Lee!

I was blessed to have come across Allyson during my search for an attorney at the onset of my divorce process. Allyson not only took the time to meet with me one-on-one, but I left her office feeling confident I would be protected fully, as the process began, by a woman who bases her life upon faith ...and helping others. As the process has unfolded and time has gone by, I found I was absolutely correct in my first impression. Through a cloud of fear, troubled times, and uncertainty, Allyson held my hand as if she was one of my dearest friends. She has not only cared about me as a client, but cares about me as a person. As if this wasn't enough, her paralegal, Lee, is not only highly educated, but is just as caring, just as capable, and just as amazing as Allyson. This is truly a "dream" team to work with. Bottom line, Allyson is a rare find for anyone that is embarking on this truly confusing time of life. I trust her whole-heartedly, believe in her counsel, am impressed by her professionalism, and wowed by her rapport in the courtroom. There is no doubt that Allyson is one of the most caring human beings I have ever met. I will always be indebted to this beautiful woman for all she has done for me. She is a Saint who will guide you through the darkness and bring your life back into the light.

Hiring Allyson was the beginning of my demise. My divorce took over 4 years. The only reason anything got settled is because I negotiated it myself. She did not return phone calls, was always late to court dates .Which then were cancelled or continuances took place. All on my dime. She showed up... to meetings and court dates unprepared . Every time I met with her it was like meeting with her for the first time again. She had absolutely no idea where we had left off last or what was going on in my case.

Started out wonderful but quickly became a terrible choice. She frequently showed up for court hours late and very rushed, leaving many status updates with no changes. After a few months, she stopped returning calls. I attempted to contact her regarding a serious legal matter but could not get her on... the phone. After weeks of ignored calls I was forced to make a decision on my own and she subsequently dropped me as a client for going against her legal advice; legal advice she never gave me because she would not return my calls. Also, in the beginning she frequently gave me advice on my personal life on matters that had nothing to do with the divorce. Advice I never asked for on things that I didn't tell her about but that had been casually mentioned to her in passing by my ex. The final nail in the coffin was when I saw her smiling and waving and making chit-chat with my ex after dropping me as a client. I do not belive she is professional at all. While she may have knowledge of the divorce laws in Illinois, her ethics leave much to be desired.
