Karla Marie Maville

Watch your bill. She over charges on just about everything! I also compared her fees to other attorney's for doing the same things. Her bill was 4 times more then 3 other attorney's I talked to. That is including a law firm in Chicago!! They were all in shock when I told them her what she charge...d. I agree with the last poster, watch your bill!

I had Karla as my lawyer for less than 5 months and she was charging me travel cost to Winnebago court (from her office in Belvedere) without my knowledge. Bills were not itemized in details (as other lawyers were) and she is not available on most Fridays (or weekends). When I challenged her about t...he bill she signed off the case and sent me a HUGE bill! I have seen charges for 4 more lawyers after Karla (2 of mine, 2 of my ex and GAL). When I became aware that she is overcharging in comparison to other 4 lawyers, it was too late. Her charges were 2 times, in some cases 3 times higher than other lawyers involved in my case. Even higher than a lawyer with highest hourly rate. I compared charges for same court appearances (with charges from opposing lawyer) and was in shock with my discovery. All I can say is-watch your bill VERY closely with Karla.
