Patrick Michael O'Brien

I had originally hired Mr.Lawson, Mr.O'Brien's partner, for my case where I was charged for a Class B misdemeanor for speeding. Due to being out of town, Mr.O'Brien ended up representing me at court. My fine was cut to a minimum and the major charge dropped. Mr.O'Brien and Mr.Lawson both delivered ex...actly what they said they would and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. If I ever have to hire a lawyer again in Kankakee, I would definitely hire them again!

Mr. O'Brien was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable when it came to the specifics of my case. He kept me and my Co-defendent up to date on court dates and made sure we knew what was going on around us. Pat made sure that what he recommended was only that, he wasn't making a decision like some at...torneys, he was giving us an option to take and didn't force us in a direction. He's the best and if I ever need legal help again I'd sent my money his way and I urge you to do the same. He cares, he's intelligent, quick witted and an all around good guy and great lawyer, that's why I say 5/5.

I will be brief but to the point. First off just buy seeing there has not been any reviews that are remotely recent I am sure the real posts get deleted. 2nd explained the case in great detail before hiring him, was reassured he could handle it no problem. Yet the following 6 court appearances was a...s if he never heard a single detail about my case? It finally got so bad he couldn't even remember if his client was or was not the respondent!!! Personally either playing Assistant states Attorney over in another county and let that title go to his head, or possibly his client load is so overwhelming that he couldn't possibly handle as many cases as one may think he has? In summary people if you want a ple bargan lawyer who does the bare minimum then O'Brien is definitely your guy! If you want someone to actually stand up and do what they say they will then I suggest anyone else!

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1 STAR. Patrick O'Brien is the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever dealt with. I constantly try to call/email and receive no response. Additionally whenever I do have a confirmed appointment for him to call me he NEVER calls I have to call an...d always told "he is in court in another county right now". So my question is why doesn't his office call and say he is unable to meet at that time. Nope nothing I have to call after waiting for 30 - 60 minutes. I am Active Duty Military and live in another state so when I was in town for a court date he showed up 45 minutes late and then left the court room and I had to go and find him to come back. And his paralegal Suzy Berrones is the rudest person ever. She acts like you are interrupting her. I am still waiting for my court orders from when I went to court in September 2018. Don't waste your time or money.
