She was appointed by the judge in a custody case ours is alittle unusual. My son was raised by his illigitamate father but has a biological father he has know for his entire life his illigitamate father was around but refused to work so we got divorced I did my own divorce and in doing so thought I w...as giving myself sole custody. I had to work two to three jobs at at time and put myself through school so my son spent a lot of time with his grandparents even going to school from there house cause they were in a better school district. I moved to Florida in 2009 and asked his illigitammate father for permission and he gave it so my son joined me in the summer of the next year I sent him back for visitatation and he refused to send him back to me saying he wanted to stay here in IL,what my son stated is he wanted to be here in IL with family and friends not live with his illigitamate father. So he got an attorney and we ended up in court this Mrs. Vocat spoke to my son once and he said he wanted to stay out of it cause his illigitamate dad got temp custody of him cause I was still in Fl and he didn't want to rock the boat there since he has stated to me he wants to be with me and I called her and told her this. His illigitamate father tried to claim he left my house a couple time all upset after being with me thats cause he told me he wanted to be with me. I tried to get this out in court but she said he should remain where he is. My son now is pissed and tried to call his attorney and tell her he wants to speak to the judge and she said it's to late so I called my attorney and he says it's up to her to open the proofs and let him speak but they don't see cause to cause a decision is supposed to be reached by the 15th. My son doesn't care he wants the judge to hear what he has to say and has left her several messages and sent her an email to get these proofs open or he's reporting her for neglegence. I don't understand why he was never scheduled to testify in the first place her retainer was $2000 I was ordered to pay $800 his illigitamate father $1200 I know I've paid her somewhere around $300 and him $125.00 and since we had two days of trial and the decision day her fees are still piling up. I don't plan on paying her a dime and we will report her for investigation and I suggest the other two people who posted to do the same just look up how to report an attorney in your state. We don't find her professional and doesn't listen to all the facts of the case, stay away from this attorney or you'll end up loosing your child!! His biological father just went into court to try and have his rights established but it's a long shot due to the statue of limitations. So wish us luck please we need it.

Very incompetent! Ex-husband never graduated college, represented himself against her and almost won the case. She caused a 1 year divorce to stretch out to 2 years. She kept running up my tab with my case for frivoulous courts dates. She promised to get me child support for my kids who were with me ...and never did. I had to go to Child Support to file for my own support.I will never shop for an attorney online again unless I have a personal reference. The divorce was already hard on me and she made things worst! I wouldn't recommend her to an enemy!

I told her from the start that I would not give up physical custody of my children, then she went ahead and wrote a parenting plan that required me to do so. And then she charged me for this parenting plan. On top of that she was woefully unprepared for the temporary custody hearing that robbed me ...of being my children's primary caregiver. Once she got my $2500 retainer she showed no interest in my case whatsover.
