He promised to use our best evidence but, then, did not. We lost the case because we didn't present a signed statement made by the plaintiff under penalty of purgery. The plaintiff claimed not to have ever promised something and that is all the judge heard. It was so basic. It was if a prosecuter... had the murder weapon with a defendant's fingerprints on it but decided not to use it in court. When I would ask Drake why he wouldn't use our best evidence, he responded by saying the other side is just going to say such-and-such. Well, of course the other side is going to have a response to anything we do. What reason is that not to use one's best evidence? Drake may as well have been working for the other side, he repeatedly handled the case in a manner most deleterious to my interests. And, really, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he was working for the other side. To top off all the incompetence, he was belligerent and accusatory in most of his communications with me.
