Jason Makoto Shimotake

Jason took me through my bankruptcy case. At such a difficult time, he was extremely understanding and compassionate about my situation. He also made sure I was prepared for all the things that would or could come up throughout the process. Because of this, nothing in the process felt like a painful ...surprise, which made it much easier to get through psychologically. He was readily available to answer my questions, made me feel comfortable even asking potentially dumb questions, and had tremendous patience. With other professionals, you can sometimes feel like the lawyer etc is trying to keep your appointment as short as possible and they want to move on already to their next client. Jason took his time, never made me feel rushed. He also went above and beyond in so many ways. For instance, he drove all the way out to the south suburbs to meet me in person for our first meeting. He also called ahead to the courthouse because I was concerned that they might not let me bring my laptop. I had no expectation nor had I asked him to do those things - he just offered/did them for me. I highly, highly recommend Jason Shimotake.
