Couldn't ask for better representation!

Erik was referred to me by a close friend. He was under no obligation to assist me, and it was rather short notice - yet he set his work aside to review my case and assist me with no promise of compensation. Erik worked with the necessary parties to ensure everything was taken care of and communica...ted throughout the process.

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009.

Suspension issued in IL, 2009

updated on 06/30/2010

Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a specific period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Erik’s comment:

“Feel free to carefully review the consent petition in this case. This discipline was for misrepresentation in time records. I did not personally profit from any misrepresentation. The reason for the transgression was pressure from large law firm partners to produce billable hours on one case when other matters had me fully booked. Per the petition, I completed a portion of the hours billed, but at a date later than I put them into the timekeeping system. No client was harmed.”

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009
