Lester Lloyd Barclay

Mr Barclay was court appointed. He barely got to know the children and with the first and only visit, he made a determination based on what the father had told him. Didn't matter the 3rd parties involved and or the proof I had to show him, he ignored. It was like talking to an empty human. He was t...here, because he got paid, but dealing with the true issues at hand, he ignored. The children lasted 8 months in the new living arrangement. We now have 2 children estranged from one of the parents. He has single handedly destroyed this family, and yet the judge keeps using him because he shows up. He is extremely one sided and would only address things the one parent requested, even though there was no proof to any of the allegations or threats. Just a useless child rep that has caused more harm then good, and now my children will forever be impacted due to his inability to listen. He should NOT be allowed to practice and be appointed through the courts. Lastly, trying to get a hold of him, even his office directories don't work. You end up having to leave a general message in hopes that it will get to him. Worse experience I have ever had.

Lester Barclay was appointed the attorney in my case, however he has not done anything to ultimately help with regards to the children. All he did was collect his money and sit on the sidelines. This is shame. I later found out he represented my family members child and she had the same thoughts abo...ut Lester Barclay, he did nothing to help her child.

He was appointed by the courts to handle my child custody case. The case dragged on for 5 years and still going. Barclay did not research on my case did not speak to any witnesses, my child’s school, health records, baby sitters or made any efforts to perform any due diligence. All he did was collect... money and constantly tell me I did have enough money for him. He is an disgraceful attorney ! Only thing he did was side with the mother without ANY regards for the safety and well being for my child. He wrote a book relating to African Americans and custody issues but he gives all African American attorneys a bad name. He should be disbarred! God help him.

Atty Barclay was appointed to me by the courts for my custody case with my sons mother. I feel not only did he not do anything to assist me in settling my case .but from the beginning he was all for the child's mother who gave him up to me when he was a infant. The only thing Atty Barclay did wa...s collect a fee. He was suppose to meet with my son and that never happened and it seems like regardless what I said he was still on the mothers side. And had the audacity to tell and that I owe him more money just for the conversations. SMH .... Where's my refund.....

I called to set up an appointment to consult with Mr. Barclay regarding my divorce and child custody case. I spoke to a representative who asked for my contact information and said someone would get back to me. A week goes by and no one reached out to me. I emailed and received a reply to call the of...fice to set up an appointment with Mr. Barclay. I called and made an appointment with a representative of his office. A few hours later I received a call from a different rep stating Mr. Barclay was not available for the original appointment that was made and he would like to speak to me. He got on the phone and stated he was not available as he had "personal things" going on around the time my appointment was made. I felt as though I was getting the run around, that I didn't feel my initial contact with his office made me feel like I would be a valued client, and thanked him for his time but would be looking at other options.
