Miguel Miranda

With more than 20 years of legal experience, Attorney Miguel E. Miranda is recognized for combining strong trial advocacy with genuine compassion for people navigating serious legal matters. As the founder of Miranda Law Office, LTD, he handles criminal defense, DUI defense, traffic cases, and personal injury claims with determination and care.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Mr. Miranda has been honored as an Elite Lawyer and maintains active membership in the Illinois State Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois. His prior role as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney provides him with a valuable perspective on how prosecutors build their cases, allowing him to defend clients with insight and strategy.

Mr. Miranda earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (now UIC Law) in 2004, completing a legal internship under the guidance of future Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul. He later served as a professor at Northeastern Illinois University for two years, where he developed his ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and effectively. From his early years working at McDonald’s, driving forklifts, and managing warehouse shifts, he gained a lasting respect for hard-working individuals and a deep commitment to protecting their rights.

Outside of his legal career, Mr. Miranda remains active in his faith, enjoys time with loved ones, follows his favorite sports teams, and participates in CrossFit to maintain focus and balance.
