Jonathan Samuel Goldman

I have worked as a criminal defense attorney throughout my entire legal career. After graduating from DePaul Law School in 2007, I opened a law firm as a sole practitioner and represented clients in criminal defense, DUI and expungement cases in Chicago and throughout Cook and the surrounding counties. I have tried hundreds of cases to verdict, including securing numerous acquittals for clients in felony jury trials. As part of my focus on criminal records and expungement, I filed petitions and appeared before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board on behalf of clients requesting executive clemency and pardons and have helped hundreds of clients expunge and seal their criminal records. 

After spending a few years as senior criminal counsel for another law firm, I reopened Goldman Law Chicago in 2019 to focus on trial representation for clients facing serious felony charges. We aim to be a full-service criminal defense law firm for anyone facing serious charges in the Chicago and surrounding areas. From pre-arrest through jury trial, our clients will see the same attorney each time they go to court. We spend as much time as possible before and after court dates explaining the proceedings and preparing our clients for the next court date. Our team of veteran, battle-tested criminal defense trial lawyers is available for multiple-attorney representation on major trials and provides clients with opportunities in representation they cannot find elsewhere.

As a person, I was born and raised in Milwaukee and have lived in Chicago for over 15 years. I will freely admit to being a yogi and practicing almost every day. In my younger days, as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I trained and worked as an Emergency Medical Technician - responding to ambulance calls while earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies. Proud graduate of bartending college.
