Scott Kane Stukel

Scott Kane is a proud graduate of Northwestern University School of Law (J.D. cum laude, 2014) and the University of Michigan (B.A. Economics and Sociology, 2007). A longtime resident and political activist in Logan Square, Mr. Kane has dedicated his practice to community-focused affordable legal representation from day one. In addition to counseling several of Chicago’s most exciting small businesses, Mr. Kane enjoys subject matter expertise and litigative experience in landlord-tenant, wage theft, and copyright law.

Prior to practicing law, Scott enjoyed a career at the Center for Economic Progress, an anti-poverty non-profit dedicated to providing free financial services to low income families in Chicago and the state of Illinois. In his personal time, Mr. Kane enjoys playing board / card games, studying Anglo-American history, and sampling the many taco-related delicacies of Logan Square

The firm has twelve years’ experience representing clients in a wide range of areas including complex insurance litigation, commercial litigation, plaintiff side-tort litigation, consumer class actions, real estate and landlord-tenant matters, SEC regulatory investigation, shareholder derivative lawsuits, intellectual property, copyright litigation, and, of course, small business counseling.
