Caroline Kaplan

I hired Caroline after a referral from a friend. She really stepped up and stepped in when things got ugly. Her rapport with the Judges, knowledge and expertise are exemplary. I'm shocked at some of the other reviews. Maybe they are referring to the other Caroline Kaplan, as there are two. This ...one now has offices in Vernon Hills and I'd hire her again for post settlement matters. She communicates well and is responsive in a timely manner. Excellent attorney!

I am shocked at the negative reviews. Some of them actually appear as if they could have been written by the same person who has an axe to grind. No one is perfect all the time...in my case working with Caroline Kaplan has been nothing but a positive experience. She not only handled my divorce, c...ustody issues; but post-decree matters and litigation as well. Her paralegal was responsive as well. Caroline emailed documents, I had a retainer agreement that was billed against as well as accurate statements. She was available at all hours of the night during emergencies, and even helped my kids through this difficult process. I have nothing but the highest regard for her professionalism, and it appeared as the judges did as well in the way she was treated in kind by them. I would hire her or recommend her to anyone. My personal experience with Caroline was great. She was an awesome lawyer in my divorce case. She will not settle until you're satisfied. She has great knowledge and has been practicing law for many years. She is very feisty and doesn't mind putting up a fight. I would recommend her to anyone that re...ally needs help. I am shocked at some of the past reviews as Ms. Kaplan and her paralegal performed a wonderful, professional, low cost resolution to my post decree family law matters. She attempted to settle the matter out of court but of course my ex would not comply. This did make the process take a little longer ...but I would of rather myself and my ex decide on how to raise our children than a judge tell us but she put in a great effort and in the end, got me what my decree stated I should, took time to explain to me several options and did an overall outstanding job. If she was not always available, her highly professional, knowledgable paralegal was always available to answers my questions or provide support.

Although Caroline does not always return calls promptly she worked on my case with diligence, fervor and respect. Her efforts with the other attorney to protect the assets of my children and my personal safety we beyond reproach. Because she is a sole practitioner the process took longer than I'd ho...pe -- but be assured all "i's were dotted and t's crossed." Nothing was left to interpretation. Her para-legal is exemplary and is always available to answer questions, field calls, paperwork etc. when Caroline is unavailable. I highly recommend her.
