Julio Armando Costa

Julio Costa is a founding partner of the law firm Costa Ivone, LLC, and focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and worker’s compensation cases. A true roll-up-your-sleeves attorney, Julio’s no-nonsense approach against insurance companies makes him a fierce advocate for injured victims. He has successfully litigated cases involving all types of work-related injuries and complex, catastrophic third-party personal injury/work injury cross-over cases. In the last three years alone, Julio has recovered over $16 million dollars for his injured clients. Some notable recoveries involved complex work-injuries including paralysis, quadriplegia, serious brain and spine injuries, and work-related death cases. He has argued cases before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Circuit Courts and the Illinois Appellate Court.

A native Spanish speaker, Julio was born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Chicago’s Humboldt Park area. He brings a unique perspective to his practice that provides diverse clientele an added level of understanding following a serious injury. In the community, Julio is proud to serve as a member of several prominent legal and charitable organizations. In 2015 and 2016, Julio was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine, an honor bestowed on the top 2.5 attorneys in the state under the age of 40.
