I'm the founder of Trident Health Law, a boutique health law firm focused on regulatory compliance, healthcare transactions, policy advisory, and dispute resolution. I help healthcare organizations, providers, and health technology companies navigate the regulatory landscape — from Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance to HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid requirements, and physician contract negotiations.
Before launching my firm, I served as a federal attorney at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where I worked on health data policy, regulatory compliance, and agency decision-making from the inside. That experience gives my clients something most health law attorneys can't offer: a practical understanding of how federal health agencies actually think, operate, and enforce.
I hold a JD from the University of Illinois College of Law, an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a BA in Neuroscience from Amherst College. I'm an incoming Vice Chair of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) Behavioral Health Practice Group, effective July 2026. I am licensed in Illinois.
My practice spans healthcare regulatory compliance, healthcare transactions, policy advisory, and dispute resolution. I work with healthcare organizations, hospitals, academic medical centers, behavioral health providers, health technology companies, and individual physicians and healthcare professionals. On the regulatory side, I advise on fraud and abuse compliance, Medicare and Medicaid requirements, HIPAA and health data privacy, federal and state regulatory matters, and administrative proceedings. On the transactional side, I handle physician employment agreements, independent contractor arrangements, management services agreements, and vendor contracts, as well as flat-fee physician contract review for doctors evaluating new opportunities. I also represent individuals in workplace accommodations and discrimination matters, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes through demand letters, negotiation, and settlement before litigation becomes necessary.
I offer complimentary initial consultations and flexible fee arrangements, including hourly, flat-fee, retainer, and contingency structures tailored to the nature of each engagement. If you're facing a healthcare regulatory challenge, reviewing a physician contract, or dealing with a workplace accommodations issue, I'd welcome the chance to talk it through.
