About me

Summary of Experience:

William N. Krucks is a partner in the Business Law Services and Litigation practice groups of the Chicago Office of Freeborn & Peters LLP, and his areas of focus include: Complex Disputes, Employment Litigation, Environmental, Insurance Coverage, Land Use and Zoning, Occupational Disease, and Products Liability.

Mr. Krucks is a founding partner of the firm.  For the better part of 30 years as a lawyer, all he has done is "work."  By that we mean to say that he has devoted his legal career to the representation of management and business in the full spectrum of legal issues having to do with labor and employment.  Mr. Krucks has tried cases in state and federal courts, before federal and state agencies, and in arbitration proceedings.  He can appreciate what it is like to be a client because he is chairman and general counsel of a major closely-held corporation involved in the communications industry, and also serves as general counsel to a not-for-profit insurance group.  "As a professional, I do not like surprises, and as a client, I like them even less.  My mission always is to add value to the attorney-client relationship because I want to be more than just another expense for my clients," says Mr. Krucks.

Mr. Krucks regularly publishes legal articles on labor and employment law for journals and newsletters.  While in law school he authored two articles which were published in the Mississippi Law Journal.

Mr. Krucks is appointed as a Leading Lawyer in the fields of Labor, Employment, and Insurance Defense Law by The Leading Lawyers Network, a designation accorded to less than five percent of practicing lawyers in the United States.

  • Kenneth B. Wolfe Jr.

I endorse this lawyer's work. I have known Bill for over 30 years, and although his area of practice no longer overlaps mine, when we did have cases together, I found him to be an honorable opponent with an excellent grasp of the law.
