Steven Michael Gleason

I began my legal career handling insurance defense cases. I worked approximately 10 years defending individuals and companies accused of negligence. 21 years of my career has been handling litigation on behalf of injured persons and the families and relatives of injured persons or those who have died as a result of the negligence of others. I believe my work on the defense side is a benefit for my work on injury and wrongful death cases

This portion of my practice are for those cases that are done as an offshoot of other cases (employment law, traffic, consumer fraud & others) and pro bono cases.

My involvement with insurance law is most often to determine whether an existing policy applies to a claim being asserted by our client. Part of my handling an injury case is to make sure there is a source to pay a client damages. I have been involved in numerous declaratory judgment actions seeking to have a court hold that a policy does provide coverage for a tort defendant's negligence. I also am becoming more involved in health insurance coverage questions.
