Rachel Prezek

Rachel Prezek is from the Southwest Suburbs.  Ms. Prezek received her Juris Doctorate degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana. While in law school, Ms. Prezek interned with the Illinois Association of School Boards and was a certified legal intern with the Indiana Attorney General in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. While with the Illinois Association of School Boards, Ms. Prezek assisted in translating legal opinions into usable law that could be used by members of school boards across the state of Illinois in creating policy and rules. While at the Indiana Attorney General’s office, Ms. Prezek assisted in investigations, made recommendations on charges on nursing licenses, and litigated a case in front of the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Since law school, Ms. Prezek has worked as consulting counsel and assisted in a corporate merger. Ms. Prezek assisted on a pro bono case for the Archdiocese of Chicago. In addition, Ms. Prezek worked as an International Swaps and Derivatives negotiator, assisting banks in becoming compliant with regulation. Ms. Prezek is currently an associate with Holman and Stefanowicz, LLC, concentrating her practice on general litigation. Ms. Prezek works on a range of cases. She is involved in all aspects of litigation work, including research, drafting of complaints, issuing discovery, participating in settlement negotiations and litigating cases. Ms. Prezek is an active member in the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association. Ms. Prezek is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
