Nicole R. Fagin

Nicole – but we all call her Nikki – is a compassionate, driven, organized, and detail-oriented attorney. Since she was little, she knew she wanted to enter the field of law and follow in family footsteps but did not know until college that she was truly interested in family law.

Nikki attended the University of Arizona for her undergraduate degree in which she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasis in Business Management, and gained a Pre-Law Thematic Minor. Her goal was to major in something that would align well within the field of law and would prepare her for a multitude of different experiences as she continued with her studies. Shortly after joining the University of Illinois Chicago’s law community, she became involved in Decalogue Society, in which she sat as Treasurer and Vice President, obtained experience in the field of family law by externing with the Honorable Judge Myron F. Mackoff, and clerking for reputable firms in the Downtown Chicago area. In addition, she was the Treasurer for the Child and Family Law Club, competed on the school’s Moot Court team in the Spring of 2025, and was a top five Petitioner’s Brief Writer and Octofinalist in the school’s Dean Fred F. Herzog Competition in the Fall of 2023.

Nikki is an only child from Saint Louis, Missouri, where her family was not shy in bringing in friends and family who may be experiencing a divorce or going through tough times within their personal relationships. Nikki was always taught to listen to those who may need a bit of comforting and to offer advice only when asked.

In her career, Nikki plans to gain her Guardian Ad Litem license, as she is passionate about working with children, and is a zealous advocate for her clients both in and out of the courtroom. Her business-minded background pairs well with family law when discussing financial matters and helping her clients plan for a new future, and her sensitive side allows her to easily connect with clients.

When she is not in the office, you can find her watching some of her favorite reality shows, catching up with friends and family located across the United States, traveling, working out, and facetiming her family dog, Kobe.
