Hi, Melissa Caballero is wonderful to work with, my X was trying to pursue a fraudulent protection order against me to tarnish my image. Melissa was able to transfer this case into divorce case and then vacate the protection order. Once the divorce process started everything was handled very well. ... My X was trying to pursue money from me, but she did not want to go through discovery process. So we where able to settle based on the original agreement without any changes and everything was resolved quickly at the end. She is very smart and really saved me from a bad situation that could of hurt my future. I highly recommend her.

I agree with the other reviewers. My therapist saw Melissa in action while she was a divorce mediator and was impressed. She recommended her to me as part of my safety plan before leaving for an out-of-state residency. I met with Melissa August 2015 and 4 months later, I finally had the courage to le...ave an abusive partner after 3.5 years of marriage. She immediately got started and ensured my safety. No matter how ridiculous my ex was during the process (it took me 11 months to divorce him without children!), she helped me make the most cost-effective decisions and had a working relationship with the other lawyer. Melissa was such a positive, supportive lawyer who gave me strength to move forward and rebuild myself. I would happily recommend her to anyone who wants to stop the cycle of abuse or needs a divorce for other reasons.

Melissa was very helpful in bringing my rather messy divorce to a close. I had another attorney who was like a bulldozer and my ex's attorney was like a steamroller... and between the two of them it was a violent standstill. So I reached out to Melissa on the advice of several other attorneys who ha...d nothing but good things to say about her. Melissa was very calm and level headed about the entire affair. She didn't get emotional or excited by the opposing attorney's threats and bluster. She made recommendations about what I should fight for and what to let go. In my particular case, my ex just wouldn't let anything go and it seemed like she was trying to drag it on forever, but I think Melissa brought it to the swiftest end possible. Divorce was a horrible experience for me (I think for most of us), but I wish I had known about and chosen Melissa from the start.

Melissa represented me in my divorce. There was not only property to deal with but also a child and she helped me navigate this difficult time with compassion and grace. I was referred to Melissa by a friend who was also using her for her divorce. From day one, Melissa advised me of my different options and helped educate me so that I could make the right decisions. She never tried to push me or persuade me into something even if it meant less money for her. Througho...ut my divorce, I felt like I was in the driver's seat and she was my copilot advising me of different roads we could take. I always trusted her and never felt taken advantage of. She was very timely with her responses in communication and thorough. I felt protected with her as my attorney. In the end, my ex and I ended up negotiating an agreement which she encouraged as she wanted us to make progress. I've heard horror stories from other friends who are getting divorced about attorneys that take advantage of emotional people, don't respond, don't educate and don't care. I feel so lucky to have worked with her through this difficult in my life and I will continue to refer her to my friends and family.
