Post-Divorce Peace

Matt Kirsh's negotiating, writing and litigation skills got me an excellent divorce settlement. And his respectful treatment of our entire family set a tone that has consistently helped me and my ex when we deal with issues concerning our three children.

Effective and Compassionate

Divorce is painful. There are many injuries along the way, and when both parents do not work to shield their children and keep them out of the acrimony of the divorce process, the children of the marriage can be among those injured. I know from my own direct experience that Matt Kirsh cares greatly... about the welfare of children in the divorce process. He is respectful of both parents, and encourages positive relationships for all family members throughout what is a difficult and demanding process. I am grateful that I had Matt as my legal partner. From the very beginning, Matt used his strong experience to guide the process for me and ensure a fair outcome. Matt provided sound legal advice and guidance, but he also very much added a human dimension and compassion to the process. Matt properly asserted and effectively represented my positions, but in the middle of conflict he was also able to pursue sensibility and reason at times when those are in short supply. Matt was able to defuse issues on a number of occasions, and thereby avoid unnecessary conflict. I developed a high level of trust in his advice both legal and otherwise. Matt has an experienced, practical, results-oriented and compassionate approach, and I found him to be a great partner.

Fair and insightful

When the courts suggested getting a lawyer to represent the children, I was not thrilled. Our case was already complicated, and I thought this would only add another layer of difficulty. But I was wrong. My divorce came with lots of anger and it is was sometimes hard to remember to put the needs ...of the children above all else. Matt Kirsh was so often the voice of reason during a challenging time. He was able to read the situation and asked all the right questions to get to the truth. I walked away with sole custody of my kids, but Matt Kirsh made sure that their father also got time with the kids. Above all else, he put my children first and today my kids are happy and well adjusted.

Weak, untrustworthy child lawyer for custody case.

If I could give this lawyer a negative rating, I would. Didn't care that my child's father had lied to him about everything involving his part in child-rearing & the safety of our home, or that our child was physically in danger there, despite all the evidence I had. Turned down my request for a home... visit to see the deplorable conditions & instead tipped off the father who sent a maid over the next day to make the place look as good as she possibly could. Wouldn't return emails or phone calls regarding my case, despite repeated attempts. It was obvious he favors fathers, no matter what. MOTHERS BEWARE!! This man will NOT be looking out for you or your child's best interest. Horrible experience.

Grateful Client

Matt Kirsh gave our family life. My husband had been divorced for many years when we met Matt. He renegotiated the terms of my husband's previous divorce based on defaults by the former spouse. He is a very effective attorney who understands the clients concerns. He informed us what to expect and... delivered a favorable outcome based on those expectations.
