Professional, honest, and caring

As I was once told "your divorce is like watching "Law and Order" live". I had a very hard high-conflict case, that involved abuse, protection order, and a bitter custody dispute. I could not wish for a better attorney team to handle this case. Josh and Shay are professional and fair. They do not giv...e you promises but explain openly what to expect in the court. Their courtroom tactics are impeccable. Besides professionalism, they care for you. I felt their emotional support throughout that tough journey. Thanks to them, me and my kid can now live a happy and safe life. I wholeheartedly recommend Josh and his team to any woman who is going through a hard divorce. You will be in great hands.

Holding onto hope

I am a stage 4 Breast Cancer survivor who was sent from IL and abandoned in CA in a diaper and a wheel chair. I was surviving on SSI and sleeping on my family's couches. I was looking for a divorce lawyer by phone because my original lawyer gave my rights to my house and my son to my then husband . ... No firm would support my case against my very affluent and powerful husband. This law firm took a chance on me. Josh performed my consultation over the phone while I was in CA. I got back to Champaign, IL and this law firm helped me fight a very difficult case and all the damage the first lawyer did. Josh would have to travel the 274 round-trip miles to represent me at every court case. In the end, we were quite successful and I'm so thankful they took a chance on me. I would definitely recommend this firm for any Family Law situation!

Difficult Relocation with a win!

I had a difficult case in that I wanted to remove my son from Illinois (specifically- Cook County). His father visits often with him, paid child support, etc. Though my teenage son has an involved father, I could offer a better quality of life in MO where I would be able to reside with my husband. Th...e case seemed pretty simple but I knew that I had a 50/50 chance as Cook County does not like to allow removal of a child- specifically when the father is involved. I researched several attorneys but ultimately felt the Josh Haid was the best choice if I was going to have any chance at all. I met Josh in his office and we spoke about what my odds were. Josh helped me through court. Though I can not say enough great things about Josh, Suzette (another attorney on the case) was really my rock. She called me when I needed her to, responded to my worried emails and helped me think through my next course of action. My case was not typical in that we were thrown a couple surprises by the judge but that is why I wanted to best attorney that I could possibly have. The case lasted around 5 months but I can finally say the judge granted my relocation request today. I can finally give my son the white picket fence, great school system and community that I have always dreamed of for him. Thank you Josh and Suzette. You have forever changed our lives!

Wanted to give zero stars

This man is a maniac. He yells and screams and creates worse situations for his clients with his behavior. The judge had to call the sheriff deputies twice to calm him down. This is not normal behavior for An attorney. Maybe he is on drugs, but his behavior was baffling to all. He also thinks it’...s ok to support mothers who beat their children and have multiple alcohol offenses against them. Do not use this psychopath.
