I must say that my attorneys from Merel Family Law David Zwaska and Colette Galo have been excellent throughout my divorce proceedings. I had been involved in lengthy divorce proceeding that had been ongoing for close to 3 years. It all started years ago prior to proceedings starting, when I initiall...y reached out to David prior to having any engagement agreements, David was extremely helpful discussing options (even on weekends) and actively listening to ongoing concerns in my marriage and was not concerned with payment, and was providing me guidance and consultation. His “bedside manner” and approach actually was influential with me deciding to have him represent me in my divorce, and specifically for the safety of my children in mind. I have been through many ups and downs during the proceedings, including multiple motions, emergency motions that were approved for me, sanctions, etc. Throughout the ups and downs, David and Colette were actively present and engaged every step of the way. David would actually listen and support, and react accordingly with appropriate interventions through the court. I must say that David was extremely patient with me and went above and beyond to explain and interpret varying issues that would arise during the proceedings. This is what you want when seeking representation, someone that actively listens to issues and reacts appropriately regarding family issues. David was very well versed in family law to the point that the judge in the case would respect and turn to David and ask for his opinions related to interpretation of family law. In the end my divorce settled one day prior to trial with me having full allocation of parental responsibilities and decision making in all domains for my children. David and Colette are basically like family now, and I will never forget how well they represented me in my proceedings. I would without a doubt recommend David and Colette ,they are gems in disguise.
