Brian Patrick Keller

Brian P. Keller joined Friedman Maguire & Carey, P.C., in August 2011, as a law clerk.  Mr. Keller became an associate in November, 2011, upon his admission to the Illinois Bar.  Mr. Keller is also a member of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.  Mr. Keller received his Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University, summa cum laude, with a concentration in Political Science and Spanish. He received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in May 2011.

While in law school, Mr. Keller served as Production Editor of The Journal of Computer and Information Law from May 2010 to May 2011. Mr. Keller is also a CALI Award Recipient for Complex Litigation. He also served as a volunteer in The John Marshall Law School VITA Tax Clinic as well as an SBA Mentor Program Volunteer. Mr. Keller also worked as a 7-11 Intern for the Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office from May 2009 to August 2010, where he prosecuted multiple bench trials, as well as a felony theft jury trial.

Since joining Friedman Maguire & Carey, Mr. Keller has handled issues involving residential real estate closings, civil litigation matters involving real estate, probate litigation, employment/personnel law, contracts, mechanic’s liens, FOIA litigation, shareholder disputes and other commercial litigation.

Mr. Keller is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Kankakee County Bar Association.
