Phillip Ruben Nava

Phillip Ruben Nava, Esq. serves as Litigation Counsel for CNA Financial Corporation's Chicago Office. Mr. Nava concentrates his practice in the areas of general litigation, automobile defense, product liability defense, general liability defense, personal injury and workers compensation matters.  He has extensive experience representing small/mid-sized to Fortune 500 businesses in a variety of industries as well as managing insurance coverage and risk transfer litigation.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Nava enjoyed a successful career as a property and casualty professional with more than fifteen years of experience at several prominent insurance carriers, including State Farm, CNA and Zurich. During his insurance career, Mr. Nava exceled as a claims manager and litigation claims consultant, managing complex mass tort litigation in a variety of jurisdictions. During his insurance career, he obtained his CPCU and AIC designations as well as an MBA.

Mr. Nava also regularly volunteers his time serving the Latino community in domestic and immigration matters. Mr. Nava is a first generation Mexican-American born and raised in Chicago and is a native Spanish speaker. He lives in the NW suburbs with his wife and four children.
