Michael David Schlesinger

Michael Schlesinger is the Director of the Business Transactions Externship Program ("BTEP") at The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois.  In effect, the BTEP is a business law clinic that provides pro bono legal services to not-for-profit organizations and business clients wtih limited financial resources to retain a lawyer in connection with business and transactional matters.  Legal services are provided by third year law student-counselors under the supervision of Michael Schlesinger or another faculty supervisor.

Legal questions arise in many different contexts and come in all shapes, sizes and levels of complexity.  The key to good lawyering is the ability not only to identify problems, but, after a thorough assessment, come up with solutions.  And by solutions, we mean ones that meet our client's goals and objectives.  Even that is not enough.  After counseling with our client and figuring out a solution, we work with the client to develop tactics and strategies to achieve the desired result.
