Biography
Patrick Semrad leads DebtStoppers as Managing Partner with a mission to expand access to affordable bankruptcy counsel. Under his leadership the firm has expanded from a four-attorney Chicago practice to a national firm of more than 85 lawyers in five states with European offices. He prioritizes building a team devoted to helping individuals and families facing financial hardship and provides firm-wide resources and training. Pat volunteers legal services locally, advises his wife Agi’s nonprofit The Balance Project, and participates in community and political life in Highland Park. He is admitted in Illinois and Florida, served on the DePaul Law Review, earned his law degree magna cum laude from DePaul, holds a finance degree from DePaul, and enjoys woodworking, sailing, paddle, and membership in the Union League Club of Chicago.
