Dishonest and incompetent

The attorney did not know the law or procedures in handling my appeal He made many material errors which he refused to correct and quit before completing the job He prejudiced me to court while my case was pending by making disparaging statements about me in his motion to withdraw He has since re...fused to return any of the money I paid him or go on a court TV show who has offered to settle our dispute in their forum

I handled this client's appeal in the Illinois Appellate Court and put in over 300 hours of time. The Appellate Court affirmed the orders of the lower court, which was a loss for my client. Any discretion the court had was decided against my client. The client had two other attorneys review my briefs that totaled over 80 pages. In my opinion, the case was not winnable.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
