also known as Chaundre S. Hofstad
Chaundre concentrates her practice in representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death matters, including those stemming from medical malpractice, products and premises liability, and violations of international human rights. 100% of her practice is devoted to litigation.
Chaundre was born and raised in the Midwest, and she is proud to call Chicago home. She attended West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois before moving to the Quad Cities to earn double undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Augustana College. She then headed to Chicago to attend Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor.
As a law student, Chaundre served on over a dozen leadership, scholarship, and service organizations, culminating in her election as President of the Student Bar Association. As SBA President, Chaundre worked tirelessly to facilitate Loyola activities, govern student organizations, and serve as a liaison among students, faculty, and administration. She was honored by an invitation to deliver an address at the commencement ceremony, the first student to do so in many decades.
While at Loyola, Chaundre developed her passion for litigation. In 2010, Chaundre was awarded The Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in Trial Advocacy, which aligned her with preeminent trial lawyers in the Chicago community. After years of training through the Corboy program, Chaundre was awarded Loyola's Best Advocate Award in 2012, a coveted title awarded to one law student annually who shows excellence in advocacy. Chaundre was proud to offer her skills for several worthy causes, including representing underprivileged clients through the Loyola Community Law Clinic as well as instructing a class of first year law students in Legal Writing.
Chaundre is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Since becoming an attorney in 2012, Chaundre has worked almost exclusively with Plaintiffs. In her spare time, Chaundre enjoys volunteering with several organizations that are dear to her heart, including Equality Illinois and Human Rights Campaign.
