Cassandra P. Miller

I am a Partner at Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin, LLC, specializing in the practice of consumer law both individual and class action litigation.  She has been appointed class counsel in numerous federal class actions that have resulted in significant recovery to consumers.

I have spent my legal career helping consumers subjected to unfair and abusive debt collection efforts, as well as assisting consumers correct credit reporting errors, and protecting individuals from deceptive business practices.  I have successfully briefed, argued and been appointed class counsel in numerous class actions involving issues of first impression.  I am experienced in a variety of consumer areas and statutes including, but not limited to, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Illinois Consumer Fraud & Deceptive Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and both the Illinois and Federal Whistle Blower Act.   I am experience in all aspects of consumer litigation including arbitrations, trials and appeals. 

I earned my J.D. in 2006 from the John Marshall Law School, Magna cum laude, and my B.A. in 2001 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  While in law school, I externed for the Honorable Edward Burr in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division, and earned CALI awards for the highest grade in six classes.
