Review
When I first started looking for a lawyer to represent me, I ran across Michael Petro and quickly called him to inquire information. I agreed to have him represent me, not knowing I'll regret it later. Horrible representation. When I read his reviews online, they were all positive. However, I did not...
I will start by stating that I value my clients and their confidentiality. So without compromising yours, I will only state that your lifestyle of drug use and prostitution is the cause of all your disappointment. At all times as your lawyer, I worked hard to alleviate the mess that you had created for yourself. I will start by stating that by the time you hired me, the Department of Homeland Security had placed an ankle bracelet on your leg to monitor your whereabouts. The first difficulty in representing your case was that the outcome of your case could lead to your removal from the United States. The second difficulty in your case was that at the time you retained me, a warrant had already been lodged against you in Cook County for missing court. At the first court date as your lawyer, the Judge refused to reduce your bond because of your criminal background, and your failure to notify the court of your whereabouts. To keep you from being placed in the Cook County Jail, I tracked down your business associate to get money for your bond. I then spent my time posting his money for your bond because your business associate refused to go in the court house. Because of the complications caused by the ankle bracelet, I waited for you to be released from the court house lock up. I was also kind enough to provide you with transportation to your hotel. At the second court hearing, you appeared two hours late for your trial. Because you were so late, the police officer witnesses were released by the Judge. In order to insure that another warrant was not placed for your arrest, I waited until you arrived at court. When you arrived, your behavior was erratic including crying at one moment to laughing the next. You were also extremely paranoid. Based on my experience, I concluded that you were severely under the influence of drugs. Despite these limitations, I worked hard to first get the prosecutor to drop the charges. I also had an issues conference with the Judge and the prosecutor to try an get a resolution to your charges that would not get you deported. Because of your criminal background and the serious nature of the charges, no resolution was able to be reached. A new trial date was set. After court, your erratic behavior continued. The new court date caused you lose your temper. In the end, your foul behavior caused me to terminate our attorney client relationship. To conclude, at all times, I represented you with competency and integrity. I am sorry your that your life of drug use and prostitution have caused you to lose your children, face criminal charges and also face being deported from the United States. But to deal with your problems by creating lies about me is a new low. For 26 years, I have worked hard to acquire a reputation for skill, persistence and integrity. I stand by my representation in your case.

Great job! Highly recommended!
I was in trouble with the Illinois State Police for DUI. Mr. Petro put on my trial and won. The Judge really paid attention to everything he said. He was in control of the whole thing. I would refer anyone in trouble to use Mr. Petro.

Mr. Petro Gets Results
I unfortunately got into some very serious trouble back in 2010 that led to my name being on the FBI website and me facing 44 years in prison. I cannot pretend as if I wasn't nervous but Mr. Petro definitely came through for me in big ways. He is an excellent attorney whose professionalism and person...
"I highly endorse Mr. Petro. Very experienced and caring attorney who gets great results in representing clients. Keep up the great work!"
"I've known Mike for a number of years, and have worked with him on matters within my practice for some time as well. He has the triple-crown of attributes as a lawyer that every consumer should want: He is intellectually gifted, very articulate, and highly ethical. He is a strong choice as a criminal defense attorney in my view."
