Michael Alan Haber

In setting up our prenup we ended up having a few unexpectedly contentious items left a week before our wedding. Michael was able to work with me and my wife's lawyer to quickly redraft certain portions of the prenup and promptly respond to my various questions. In the end it all worked thanks in big... part to Michael.

I hired Michael Haber because of a very difficult custody situation. Defending yourself against a stream of ridiculous false accusations is stressful, and you need a lawyer that is able to counter the attack. I did not have that at this firm. Most of the problem can be attributed to his delegati...on. I thought I was signing up with this 'boutique' practice as they advertise themselves on their on hold recording. Turns out the experienced attorney I thought was contracted simply delegated the case to his son. Who is NOT experienced. Long story short? Three years pass with zero results. Young children further alienated by troubled ex. Haber represented me for three years and when it came time for trial he quit. Yes, he quit. An investment paid off and I didn't tell him for fear the courts would drag this out until that was gone too. Until that point I was bankrupt, spending thousands more a month on legal fees than income. With his untimely withdraw and trial just weeks away a new attorney is needed. New counsel asked what the result of the evidentiary hearing was, how did deposition with the ex go? Neither of those were ever requested or performed by Haber. New attorney was shocked and ordered a deposition of the ex. Within weeks the case began to move. I do not know how Haber intending to proceed to trial without preparing in the simplest of ways. I cannot express my disappointment with this firm that I hired in simpler, firmer, more pleasant terms.

My divorce was extremely contentious and emotionally draining. I was resigned to going to trial, but Michael was able to negotiate a settlement and avoid what would most certainly have been a contentious and costly trial. He is smart, assertive, highly experienced and consistently ethical. He worke...d hard to develop a solution which was in my best interest.

Michael Haber took our difficult, precedent setting case and was able to keep us focused on what options were available to us. He was clear about about his reasoning as to the probability of outcome of any one of them, all of us knowing full well they were probabilities, not certainties. By present...ing both the big picture and other alternatives we were able to make well informed choices as to how we wanted to proceed. What could have been a very messy, drawn out legal battle was contained to a surgical negotiation that worked out very well for us.
