We first consulted with Mr. Schlapp while he was in the employ of Horwitz and associates several years ago. We agreed to retain Mr. Schlapp, in the interest of pursuing a nursing home negligence case on my parent's behalf. In the interim, Mr. Schlapp left Horwitz to establish his own practice. We wer...e contacted by Mr. Schlapp advising us of the change, and encouraging us to continue to utilize his services in pursuit of our case. We agreed, and retained Mr. Schlapp again. Prior to his leaving Horwitz, we were provided with periodic updates as to the status of our claim. Since leaving Horowitz, we have had little to no follow-up as to claim status, unless we happen to catch Mr. Schlapp on the phone, and even then answers are elusive. Put simply, we seldom, if ever, receive replies to e-mail, or voice mail, do not receive return calls despite being assured that "I'll call you right back" and are extremely frustrated with this entire situation. In addition, we received "off the cuff" guidance which ultimately cost us a considerable amount of money as well as a property lien being placed. Sorry that we cannot give zero stars considering our treatment.

Our family hired Jeff a couple of years ago to file a lawsuit against my dads nursing home. My dad had fallen numerous times and on the final fall he broke his hip and his arm. From the moment we met Jeff, my sisters and I felt that he was warm and caring. He explained the process to us in detail and... helped us with all of our questions whenever we called him. He was our neighbors lawyer who spoke highly of Jeff which is why we hired him. Our case was settled with the nursing home by Jeff without having to go to trial and we were so happy with the services and attention that Jeff gave to us. We knew he was very busy running his new firm but he always made us feel as if we were his only clients. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about nursing homes and how they don't have enough staff to watch their residents like my dad.

The worse legal decision I have ever made ! Hired Mr Schlapp for Wrongful Death,,, was told prior to signing a contract with his ex employer's La Firm, that our Family had an excellent case ?! We were extremely disappointed in the lack of effort by Mr Schlapp,,,, after 4 years, I had to call him to... find out that our case was not going forward Pitiful communication skills !
