Bruce Bernard Cole

Bruce B. Cole has been licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois since 1973. He is a solo practitioner based in Chicago and has concentrated his practice on Family Law since 1980. While most of Mr. Cole’s practice is focused in Cook, Lake and DuPage counties, he has also appeared in Kendall and Kane counties on behalf of his clients.

Bruce B. Cole’s approach is pragmatic and realistic based on his vast experience in the field of Family Law. He is straight-forward in his counsel and tells his clients what they need to hear — not what they want to hear — always keeping their best interest front of mind. While resolving a case with a mutually agreeable settlement is the goal, Mr. Cole is ready with aggressive and competent litigation when needed. He guides his clients though the family law system while educating them on their rights, focusing on their goals and acting as their advocate in the court system. His practice is very personal and his clients will never be handed off to associates or paralegals. He feels his clients are owed his full attention and he frequently takes calls on weekends and meets clients at locations and hours of their choosing.

Bruce B. Cole is very well respected within the Family Law community.  He has acted as a court facilitator and is an approved Guardian Ad Litem/child advocate in Cook County.  He regularly consults and networks with the top attorneys and law firms in Chicago and has relationships with top therapists, forensic accountants, and private investigators. Many of his clients are referred to him by professional colleagues and he is often called on to represent other attorneys and their families. Mr. Cole continues his education on a regular basis by attending seminars and workshops given through local bar associations.

Bruce B. Cole is a graduate of DePaul College of Law and he maintains membership in the Illinois State Bar Association. In 1987, he published his first children’s book, The Pumpkinville Mystery.
