My practice and that of the firm, remains limited to family law. Our office concentrates on all aspects of family law including divorce, child custody, all financial aspects related to divorce and separation. We have extensive trial and appellate experience on issues related to child custody, tracing and classification of assets and income, division of property and child support and maintenance (formerly known as alimony).
Some recent noteworthy successes include:
The classification of Husband's stock in a closely held corporation as marital property. Prior to the marriage Husband held 2305 fully vested and exercisable stock options at a strike price of $1.00 per share. The options were not exercised until two years after the marriage and the strike price paid with marital funds. At the time of trial the stock was valued in excess of $6,000,000. The Wife, our client, was awarded $2,500,000 for her interest in the stock, from an investment of $2,305 of marital funds. We successfully defended the Judgment on appeal in the Second District Appellate Court and on a Petition for Leave to Appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court.
The reversal of an award of exclusive possession of the marital residence to Wife. On Appeal in the First District Appellate Court, the trial court was found to have erred in ordering the Husband to vacate the marital residence due to the claim that his presence caused the Wife stress and discomfort. This was the first published case on the issue of exclusive possession in 17 years.

I endorse this lawyer. I brought Brian in to co-counsel on a complicated post decree matter. Brian is an excellent and tenacious trial attorney.
