William Franklin Marutzky

Mr. Marutzky, or as I know him – Bill, is a consummate professional attorney. His expertise is great and his knowledge encompasses almost all facets of the legal issues he so well solves. Bill knows and understands the various tax and legal codes that prevent other lawyers bringing a case to a close. Mr. Marutzky is highly recommended. In the process of starting a new business, I realized that I needed to incorporate trusts to hold certain assets from the sale of my last business. My will was out of date and Bill was thoughtful enough to ask whether it needed refreshing. I had spoken with a local estate planning attorney who was n...ot as creative or thorough, did not recognize several of the issues which Bill brought up, and was too busy to explain why he made the structure suggestions that he did. I'm glad I called Bill, and was lucky to find that he understands liability protection offered in the various states in which I will be doing business. In addition to giving me a path to protect my assets, he was able to advise me on the various tax ramifications of using a limited liability company rather than a subchapter S corporation which would have been a disaster for me I if I had followed the other attorney's advice.

Bill is a no nonsense tax attorney and got to the heart of my issues and meticulously laid out a plan for dealing with the IRS in the most efficient way. Before being referred to Bill, I was working with another tax lawyer who seemed more interested in telling me how great he was and then having me ...fill out form after form and then charging me for it. Dealing with the IRS is very stressful. Bill assured me I was not the only person with the issues I had and calmed me down and always gave me a light at the end of the tunnel. Mr. Marutzky represented me some 21 years ago. My move from IL prompted sorting through documents, that is keepers and those to dispose. Mr. Marutzky did a marvelous job, in and out of the courtroom; to include his preparation of the appeal phase. Needless to say, we (he) won the case involving a ...firearm.
