Shalom Bersson, Shawn Berson, Sean Bersson = Bad attorney / Divorce Lawyer

Whatever he calls himself these days this 40 something Divorce / Family Law attorney based out of Chicago, also working in Lake County is a lawyer you should think twice before hiring. Do your research and dig deep. I wish I had. I hired him to handle a divorce and was burned BAD. Not only did he ...drag it out over two years costing me over 50 thousand dollars, he was inattentive, rude, and ineffective. I should have sued him when it was over, as other clients have done, but was just too sick and exhausted to fight any more.

Divorce took way too long

This attorney & his firm take way to long. Too many postponements, Every time a court date is postponed you end up paying more. Way too expensive for performance experienced. Once he is retained his tone with a client is reprehensible.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
